:I just purchased a 2002 Z with 1900 miles on it from Lawrence Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg Pa.Believe that? 1900 miles tight as you know what. I got CarFax everything checked--I cried when I saw it. New to Forum but this is my 3rd Vette. C4-96, C5-99 now 2002-7 years old 1900 miles.
OK, I'm trying to load picture but having trouble. I Talked to owner--everything is true----1900 miles, original tires, etc etc---never driven in rain snow and it's a dream machine. No Leaks, tires in great shape-it was well taken care of. Listed price 27,900---traded a 99 coupe with 54,000 miles. I bought it the day it was on the lot--owner bought 2009 Z06.

You don't have a clue on the status of the tires by looking at them they are 7-8 years old, look at the DOT date code and figure it out. A blowout at 70mph could be devastating...... I wouldn't trust them.
Call your local tire shops and ask them if you don't believe us......
Ditto on the tires. Be carefull. They will be hard with no grip. Had to replace mine at 15,000 miles when I got her.
Had mine about a month, 6k miles with original tires and this is something I completely over looked. At first I was like wow, this suckers got some power, it can burn the tires a 40mph. Then it happen a couple times when I wasn't expecting and it scared the crap out of me. At that moment I feel in love with the traction control. Then it dawned on me, 6 year old tires = hard as rock = unpredictability and lots of spinning tires.
