Default RPI caliper covers installed.

Got my caliper covers installed last week and I really like them. They cover very well and clean up easily. This is a great alternative to painting the calipers and cover up the ugly stock calipers --- just like the fuel rail covers and the tank covers cover up the ugly in the engine compartment. Very easy to install --- aprox 15 minutes per wheel. They can be removed easily to go back to the stock look at any time. Thanks Josh at RPI.

They actually don't look bad; are they painted stainless?

Now this is only my personal opinion, but

Reminds me WAY too much of the fake disc brake simulators guys with drum brakes used to use.

The last thing you want to do is cover up a brake caliper. The idea is to keep them cool. Your in for a severe brake pulsation and brake fade in the future my friend.

As long as you like them, As for myself, They look out of place, Something that you get from JC Whitney. I much prefer a nice painted Caliper over the covers.

to each his own, but i think those look silly. this will likely interfere with heat dissipation from hard braking by blocking the air flow over caliper and defeating the functionality of the "ribs" on the stock calipers - they are there for a reason. don't be surprised if your piston dust boots will get warped/melted.

The rear ones look good IMO, but the fronts are horrible.

Personally, I prefer the stock calipers either painted or powder coated. It's your car, if you like them, then keep them.

We all Mod our cars to our own personal taste and price range. If you like them then keep them. We would all like to know how the heat / or Fade works out though.

I too would wonder how well they will let the heat dissipate from the calipers. I know it is more work, but I guess I still prefer the look of a painted caliper over some covers.

1) They are powder coated aluminum.

2) They are attached by stainless steel clips.

3) The aluminum acts as a heat sink and they run cool.

They look dangerous to me. The clearances are tight in there and if one came loose, things could get real expensive. Not real sure what they add, but something else to potentially fail at some point?

Looks like some fake covers to make the caliper appear larger then they are. There is nothing wrong with the calipers on these cars...

I was always told if you cannot say something nice then don't say anything. I also realize that this is a public forum and we all have the right to voice our opinion, but in this case the original post did not ask how anybody like them, but simple that he wanted to show off his latest mod.
I know I would feel bad if I was excited about something I just did to my car that I liked and then I was put down for doing it. I have seen a lot of mods on this and other forums that I did not like, but I kept my opinion to myself.
Flame Suit on.
