Okay I don't get it, and no offense to the import owners here, but why does every kid with a fart can roll up next to me at a light and sit on his rev limiter?

That said.....

Im sitting at a light while on the way home today. Some kid in a Civic with a big wing and a can larger than my steering wheel pulls up next to me. He starts revving the crap out of his car and letting out so his BOV would sound off. Im just sitting there laughing. He start hollering out his window about scarred and **** Chevy **** and hes got money and alot of other ****. I sit for a minute and oblige, somewhat. I set the line lock and let out slowly just so it would build boost. As soon as they started to wail, about 3#, I put the clutch back in and the BOV sounded off like a small grenade going off. His eyes got wide and he almost went white. Rolled up his window and immediately turned right to run away.

Now for the funny part. The cop that was behind me pulled up next to me and gave me the thumbs up. Said he heard all of it and that was the most funny **** he'd ever seen.

I am not kidding about the locked part - Dang I started a Thread on who FARTs in their Vette and it got locked - and it never got Vulgar, ohhh well! Great story and to bad he didn't let some rubber fly because he'd of been ticketed

haha absolutely awesome! you should have asked the cop if he had his dash cam running...that would have been a priceless vid!

 

I had a kid do that to me once. The difference was I knew where the cop was parked. He was reving and I brought the Rs up. Light turned green, he took off, and I made a right turn. Went around the block and waved at the cop as he was writing up his ticket.

 

I would've loved to see the race on the track though. Boosted Civics are no joke. I am sure you are running tons of power under your hood bro but a louder BOV doesn't necessarily indicate that you are making "X" amount of power. nice story

True that. I know plenty of 10 sec imports down around me. The point was more of him running his mouth and trying to call me out to a race, then running away like a scared rabbit when he heard I was boosted as well.

 

LOL yeah, he was definitely scared. Nice kill without the actual race. Man wish some of those Houston cops would move here, I definitely would have been cited for doing that. I think you should post up a pic of your engine and turbos for good measure.

I don't understand the need to report it here every time it occurs...

 

I knew of a friend that went through the trouble to plumb a nitros bottle to a jet at the base of the windshield, it did nothing else. Same problem and after setting the line lock and letting a stream of nitros escape it usually ended the confrontation then and there with very large eyes from the rice can.

As I read here, If your muffler has a bigger diameter than your pistons do then....you're a poser.
