Default SLP Smooth Bellows

Does anybody else use one of these? The top of it is wearing against my hood liner. So much in fact, both items are showing loss of surface.

The install said "logo up" but the part has no logo stamped on it, and both sides looked about the same to me.

I have the SLP bellows which doesn't have the logo, either. The bulge does make slight contact with the hood liner.

There's no manner of adjustment of the bellows to eliminate the issue.

I previously had an after market rigid silicone bellows which caused me other annoying issues.

I'd rather have the more flexible SLP bellows and live with the slight insulator wear than the rigid bellows with puckering/air leaks at the throttle body, required trimming and air bridge/MAF adjustments required by the rigid bellows, but that's just me.

You might contact them. They're in NJ.

I think I needed the Logo, because it appears there is a flat(ter) spot in the bulge. I will see if this rotation works to save the hood liner :

After rotating the coupler :

Geesh...I'll have to look at mine more carefully as well. I don't remember seeing the defined flat spot like yours...
