Hi Folks, I wonder if anybody could give me some help. I have a 2001 vert with 45,000 km and about a month or so ago, I had it in the shop to get detailed for the start of driving season. I got it back, parked it in the garage untill yesterday when I rolled it out to go for a rip. While driving, everything is working fine. For some reason I hit the trip button and nothing happened. Today I noticed that none of the DIC control buttons react or work. The display works, Door ajar, brake before shift etc show up but none of the buttons seem to work. I did notice that the guy that did the detailing also did the engine compartment, I don't know if he steamed it, used shampoo or just used some water and a rag but it was a 50k trip home when I picked it up and then it sat in a heated garage for a month or so until yesterday. On the trip home it seemed to run just fine. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance.
Apparently you won't be able to get to the code display since the DIC display isn't working. So, my first thought is to look down near and on the BCM in the passenger footwell and see if there is or was any evidence of water on it or in it. Next thing is are any other systems affected???Radio, Hvac, hud if equipped. Speedometer, tachometer, fuel and etc...? Does anything on these change when you open a door, either door?
I had a similar problem. Turned out the the board the controls the DIC functions was bad. I ended up getting another cluster and the problem was solved. Now it's possible the switch itself might have gone bad. I actually originally bought another switch thinking it was that. If yours is broke. I have an extra one I can sell to u.
hi i also have this issue but mines displays svc trac and all that
but wont reset when i hit reset buuton
i get a code that just pops up on its own
QC CODE 413211 can any one help thanks

Nothing else is affected. I get regular alerts such as door ajar, low fuel, low tire pressure, etc. but cannot reset them with the reset button.
Will check the BCM. Will also do the door test

Did anyone get this problem figured out? My dic buttons are unresponsive and the display is constantly cycling through random codes. (low right rear pressure, low brake fluid...) I replaced the buttons which didn't make a difference. I also cleaned the chassis grounds, checked the fuses, no water around the bcm... any ideas? I have full power to all the leads that go to the switch except number 1 (purple) is the problem the ipc?
