Switching batteries

How long will the car remember all the radio stations and memory settings after I disconnect the battery to switch to a new?

I just did my 2002 last week. It took me 10 minutes and everything stayed the same...memory & radio. The HUD is the only thing that changed.

I changed one a couple of years ago and it didn't cause any problem.

when I changed out the battery on my 00 coupe, I took it out, drove down to AutoZone, purchased new.. drove back home and put it in. Must have been 40-50 minutes of it not being there. I had zero issues.

I agree with everyone else... I just changed mine last week, enganged in a long conversation in between and still had no issues.

Buy it at a place like autozone, etc.. and have them change it for you. they have a power supply with 12 volts that plugs in the lighter to save that data. Also you won't have to deal with bringing the core back.

Had mine out for 5 hours onlyu lost TPMS remotes

I had to resync my remotes (Hold down both lock and unlock untill the horn chirps) after about 5 hours disconnect. I had it out for an hour and didn't have to do anything. You are supposed to go thru the idle reset procedure but if you don't it will recalibrate in 100 miles or so.
