The mustang kids..
This started with a comment war on youtube on this video:

It's a mustang that has been tuned to 600hp, racing a C5 Z06. The mustang pulls ahead, and then the engine dies. A bunch of children proceeded to jump and defend their favorite ford.
Well, I saw this comment:
Besides the fact that a C5 Z06 does not anywhere near have 600hp...and the fact that they are no where near $50,000, today..
I responded..
Which resulted in..
So that led to responses from several people..
So I jumped back in..
I can't deal with this any more. Granted, I don't hate mustangs, they are nice for a young guy in high school, but where did they get the impression that they are driving a godamned supercar?

If you want to play that game, consider the fact that the 2010 Camaro, stock, is as fast as the GT500, stock, for half the price.
You can put 15,000 on the mustang (which makes you an idiot) if you want, but it's still a mustang. You can put $15,000 into a toyota too.
Also, I'd wager that you couldn't get a mustang GT to beat a stock Z06, even with $15,000 without spray.
The fact is, ford needs forced induction to compete with GM."

It's the age old Chevy/Ford Rivalry....nothing new, in fact it's the same old

Because kids drive 98+ mustangs, men drive the 5.0 hatchbacks or the early days a real car.(Or the new rare and limited production ones, either way you get my point) I have respect for some of them, but as growing up a Chevy Corvette person I was taught to hate them, and ford. Family thing I guess...
As my BMW enthusiast roommate would say, "Don't waste your breath on them, you are better than that!"
But once again, anything can beat anything, but at the end of the day we have a corvette sitting in the garage!

Outside the newZR-1 I don't consider a Corvette a "supercar" and neither does the rest of the world outside the Corvette Forum walls. They are great sports cars but not supercars in the true sense of the word.

you know what's really funny?
A close friend is a Mustang fanatic, carries on about how the motor is so bulletproof from the factory. How the Terminators are nearly untouchable, was made to beat anything in it's class, throw some pulleys/cam/exhaust and you'd run circles around a lot of cars.
It just doesn't stop with him lol. Of course he owns a Mustang....v6.....automatic. BUT i will say like myself we all started somewhere and just recently we were lucky enough to be able to afford the cars we've been wanting. My 01 SW z06 and his 03-04 Terminator.....black.....on black.....on black.
Can't fault the guy, he's a stupid close friend, but it's entertaining to say the least when we "discuss" both of our cars.

HAHA! And our choice of color (yours and mine Alex) in corvettes looks better on a stang than on our vette...
You should of just told the kid that FORD found out what the problem was with its sports cars and put a circle around it.
