Blew my engine today.....just need a relatively simple answer to....Can I remove the engine from a C5 without dropping the rear suspension to get the torque tube out of the rear of the engine.
I know we like to over kill questions at time....but I need to make a decision....can I do this at home or should I be robbed by the dealer. I only have a single car garage....if I have to lower the rear suspension with the torque tube to remove the engine this presents a problem for me.
So If you can help with a relatively quick answer I would greatly appreciate it....Thanks....Chuck
I pulled mine out the top in my garage without removing the torque tube/rear cradle. Big garage but I don't see a single bay being a problem either. Not a bad job. I can't answer the second half... reinstallation because I'm still waiting for the motor. That always seems to be a bit trickier. lol. Good luck with whatever you decide.
