Default Z06 Fender badging

I am looking for a set of original Z06 fender badging from 2002. I am pretty sure that version had the 405 HP as a part of the emblem. Should I be searching on ebay or what are you guys recommending?

Thanks!

why would you put z06 badges on a non z06? Do you want people to think its a z06? They sell many ls-1 badges for convertibles and coupes if you like badges

Who said anything about putting them on a non-Z06? I allso own a Z06 that was in a minor fender bender and the badges on one side is mangled. It is okay to own two Corvettes isn't it?

ZING! Good one, if true. It's kind of hard to believe you have an '02Z, and aren't sure about the badge having a 405 on it......OTOH, the badges are available at GM parts, and many of the vendors to the left sell them as well.

WOW, tough crowd!! I am not trying to pull a fast one. My neighbor backed in the side when it was in the street. All I have is the letter Z and yes, the original on the other side does have the HP rating. I just wanted ones that did not. Ebay has so many versions and the one I liked better does not have the HP rating. I just wanted to make sure it was period correct.

So, let me rephrase the question, "Is a Z06 fender badge without a HP rating period correct, if so where can I get one?

01 Z06's just said Z06. For 02 to 04 they said Z06 405HP.

I'm sorry if there was any mis info, but your profile says nothing about owning a z06, If you do own one you have never mentioned it in any previous post on this Corvette Forum. I did a search on all of your posts. Also you mention you already have a badge on your supposed Z06. I realize one is mangled but you should be able to read the other one,, right? I'm sorry your stories just dont add up maybe im missing something?

Excuse me looks like you just did an edit on your profile and put in the Black 02 Z06. Can you post some pictures of the damage?

Joshua - Thank you for the informative response. That is exactly what I was looking for as I replace the emblem. I don't like the one with the HP rating.

Dave427, yes I did update my profile because I guess to knuckleheads like you that makes it legit. Why would I put that on my convertible, I don't get it? If I post a picture will that make it better? Then can I join the exclusive club? Will you teach me the handshake? How do you feel about other C5's that put Z06 wheels on their cars? Does that make you pop a bolt because you overpaid? Go back to waxing you car and leave this forum to the professionals like Joshua!

I remember a guy that had a supercharged '03 Zo6.

He took off the stock badges and put the '01s on instead. He said it was silly to have 405hp badges when he was making much more, plus he said it looked cleaner.

I agree.

MN, I guess you missed the memo on the formation of the Poser Patrol. Anyone caught with improper badges can be hung by "their badages" for causing embarassment to the exclusive Z06.

Anyway, welcome to the club.

Why does everyone else care so much about what badges another's car has?

Didn't some of the earlier 2002's (production-wise) have the emblem without the horsepower on it? I thought I read that somewhere....

The 01s were 425 H/P--GM delted the H/P for insurance reasons-

You went through all this because you think someone without a Z06 wants to put Z06 badges on it........... wow.....

Not true at all. No reason for it to be true, the 2002 car appeared in 2001 as a 2002 model for allthe press glory with 405hp badges proudly on display.

I guess I fall under this category. Mine is an 02 (I triple checked) with the "01 style" badges. I had thought the previous owner had put the 01 badges in place of the "horsepower rating" ones. Always wondered about that...
