Check to see if the evaporator drain on the firewall in the engine compartment is plugged. The drain is a rubber elbow...easily reached from below. I just cut the end off mine to prevent the clogging in the future...needed to replace the complete blower assembly however...it was flooded with water.
If you do not have water dripping from the drain while the A/C is running the drain is most likely plugged. You may also experience water in the passenger side foot well carpet.
If this is plugged it will fill the blower compartment with water and eventually ruin the blower motor.
I am having some odor problems with my HVAC. Looking for some advise on a cause and a cure.

A leak is most likely your problem and that has been covered in previous threads. You need to check carpets with a sniff test because if the carpets are wet and the smell is like sweating shocks/feet you had a wet carpet that may be dry on top but not below the carpet.
