How many of you feel that all Gm had to do is give the C5 great handling suspension
smooth ride and a powerfull motor and get rid of all that electronic automatic BS and made options manual do'nt you think we'd have less problems and a better car. I always fixing some stupid electrical crap we realy did'nt need that effects somethnig else. it becomes a chain reaction nightmare
but you fix it because you love the car and want it right.

In case you haven't noticed all the later cars are loaded with electronics, As far as my Vettes goes, It has beed a great car, Very few troubles, I think GM did just fine on the C5....
Though I understand your intent and passion, I have to add that I absolutely LOVE my F55 suspension and for my usage of the car it is the best option available.
C5 electronics are nothing compared to newer German/Japanese cars. When my neighbor lowered his 335i, he got all sorts of warning messages, and the traction control, ABS...wouldn't work.
Americans love their techno gadgets! These cars have nothing much that the every day grocery getter doesnt also have.I havent had a single electrical issue, well except a battery that failed after 5 years which is normal for any car.
I could never be that disapointed plus i said smooth ride not a back breaker
and great handling not bobslead steering.i just thoughtthe vette could have been made a little less complicated in some areas
