Default Part Idenfitication

The dealership had to take in my z06 after three days of ownership to fix the column lock issue that they said was fixed before I picked it up (couldn't test drive it first visit because it was locked). Anyway, they fixed it this time with the right parts (put stock parts on before instead of recalled parts due to supposed confusion) but ended up destroying this piece in the photo by a damn screwdriver.

I don't want to contact the dealer about this and don't want them working on my vehicle any more. I would rather just order the part and move on. I can't seem to locate it at GM Parts Direct or any other parts place like that.

Any of you guys know what this might be? I have circled the part in the photo. It is to the left of the ignition keyhole. In my current z06, it looks like they stuck a screwdriver right through the ribbed part and broke 3 of those ribs and bent it out of shape. This photo is an old one from the black FRC I traded in.

Any ideas where I might find it?

10268306 "GRILL, I/P ACSRY TR PLT" That's GM-speak for: "Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Grill"

Call 1-800-234-5284 ask for Bob in parts. Fichtner Chev. Corvetteforum sponsor and vendor. They are in Mountain Time zone.

Btw, it should be removed from the bottom edge using a small flat blade screwdriver and prying gently. Never in the grill openings.

A wise move not wanting to go back to the dealer for any more service.

I can understand not wanting to hassle with the dealership but me being old school, I feel that businesses should take responsibility for their mistakes. I would contact the service manager and let him/her know what happened and ask for a replacement part. They may even have it on hand. If not, they should order it and ship it to you free of charge.
