I installed a PXDP w/ the PXHGM4 cable (cable for those w/ no CD Changer) last weekend and it is an awesome mod! I followed the instructions from Toque's thread http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...d-changer.html.
If you are on the considering this mod, I say go for it. It is really easy to integrate the ipod with our crappy BOSE headunits. The adapter is about $100 on the famous auction site. Installation for me took about 1.5 hours as it was freaking hot in the driveway and I was enjoying a 6-pack of Pacificos as I was installing. I also did some cleaning since I had the center console out during the install. For the more mechanically inclined, this shouldn't take longer than an hour.
