Default Exhaust Electric Cutouts

Anybody running and exhuast cutouts on stock z exhaust or aftermarket? Major sound difference, performace gain if any, hard to install? I was looking at the QTP's.

Great sound, but watch out for the negative effects of dumping hot exhaust gas onto the rear leaf spring and tranny.

I bought some turn-down tips from Race Ready for my QTP cut-outs. I still need to get the electric motors, but haven't found the best way to route the wiring to the inside of the car.

Default Cut outs.

I have been working on running a cut out from just before or at where the E pipe curves and goes to the muffler. From there to the inside oval Exhaust tip. The electric valve would be placed in this new tube. You could run the original 1 inch factory E pipe back into side of the cut out pipe to complete the package. Keeps it looking stock and allows for open exhaust. Not done yet but gathering the parts.
