Default Hatch emergency release cable
Is the hatch emergency release cable supposed to have a small handle like the one for the gas cap emergency release? On my 2002 Z06 the gas cap wire has a small handle, but not the wire for the hatch. Very importand question, I know... but I'd like to know :o

I have a emergency release cable on each side at the rear on my 2000 coupe...no handle on either.

That's the way my '00 was also. If you have an owners manual, it will show you in there where the release cables are. If you don't have a manual, you can download one from www.gmpartshouse.com.

The 2002 manual states that there should be a glow in the dark handle located at the rear wall (expect for coupe). I guess the Z06 should not be concidered a Coupe in this case. I can see the wire, but no handle. I need to find a handle to complete the car then. Anybody know the part #?
