I suffered the dreaded column lock experience in June of '06 and had my car towed to the dealer to be corrected. This morning it did the same thing as I was backing out of the garage. I thought that recall/retrofit was a permanent fix. Apparently not! Film at 11.

I've heard sometimes, however rare, the pin can still wiggle out over time, i put one in but kept the harness, i dont know if it will work but i figured once in a while reconnect it to make sure the pin is retracted all the way.

It's a 6 speed. The first time it happened I could still turn the wheel, but the fuel pump kept shutting off. Today the column remained locked. Don't know the prognosis yet, but I won't have the car back until Monday. I'm pissed that I'll miss the show at Englishtown tomorrow.
