Dipstick
I was checking my oil yesterday and noticed that the dip stick is tarnished in about the middle of it. I wondered if because it runs so close the the manifold if the heat has done this. Has anyone else ever noticed this?

I am sure what you are seeing is just what you thought, Heat from the exhaust will do that. Mine is clean, But Have seen it before on other cars.
