Default HVAC Removal

Going to have the LED color changed and serviced by one the forum vendors.

Does anyone have any instructions for removal/install handy.

All you have to do is remove the center console and radio bezel. Then just two screws hold the hvac in. Disconnect the wires in the back and thats it.

I've done it at least a dozen times. here's a tip: put some protective tape over your radio readout lens to prevent scratching it while you wrestle with the bezel and the hvac.

Sending mine to JW Motoring on Monday morning. I don't have the time, expertise or patience for something like this. And JW Motoring has a pretty good price for it.

$195+ $9 shipping if you use one of our cores
$100 is refunded when we receive your core in good condition.

You can also send yours in for $100 less ($95+$9 shipping).

Dim Display

We also will fix the dim display (when you can barely read your temp readings). That is $56 total.

I had JW and co do mine. Works great so far, lol. It is odd seeing the display again after not having it for so long.

I found this set of instructions to be the best. http://www.vetteessentials.com/instr...t_install.html

The bezel one is simular, but then goes on to remove the entire dash, which is 100% unnecessary. The only step that needs added to my link is removing the two screws that hold the HVAC in place.

On a side note, I also added some insulation under the center console when I had it all off. You might want to consider that as well. I used the Frost King as pictured, but I only did the area aroung the console and shifter. i did not that out the seats and all the carpet as pictured: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...at-shield.html
