For peace of mind, I just had the local Chevrolet dealer change all the fluids (except clutch) in my Z. I'm still doing the "Ranger" protocol on the clutch fluid. I talked to the mechanic who worked on the car. He said the old fluids weren't that bad, but I thought it best to start with new. He also said the underside of the car was in very good condition, with no leaks, damage, or loose fasteners. I had them use Mobil1 for the engine, and Redline synthetic for the trans and rearend. I also recently installed my Lloyd's floor mats, and trunk partition from Southern Car Parts. After owning the car for 3 weeks, it just gets more and more fun to drive.
Yep,I did the same. The day I got mine,I drove it to my fav garage and had ALL the fluids drained and replaced.
It's a good way to establish a baseline so you can keep up with it.I do all my own changes since then and keep a spreadsheet that shows dates, mileage, things done and part numbers.
How many miles did your car have before you changed all the fluids ?
Did you feel a change after ?
What fluids did you change ?
Reason I ask is because my car only has 16K miles, but its 5+ yrs old and still on stock fluids. I also do the Ranger Clutch mod though...

I just did every fluid in the car front to back and my car only has 8000 miles on the clock. Interestingly I noticed an improvment in the shifting of the car but the peace of mind is what I like best.

My car has 43000 miles on it. I only bought it 3 weeks ago, so I have no idea how many miles were on the existing fluids. The Chevrolet mechanic said the fluids didn't look bad, but I just wanted to start with fresh fluids. While the car was there, I also had them pull wheels and look at the brakes. They told me there was about 60 to 65 percent of Pad material left, so I don't need to worry about doing brakes for a while.
