Default ABS/TC problem

I've got a friends 97 C5 Auto in my shop.He had a new ignition put in last summer.A new rt front wheel bearing assembly, and a new BCM installed at the local Chevy dealer.Rt front wheel bearing is the 2nd one in 2 yrs.The problem is that the traction control light and ABS lite will come on when you really hammer the car. After some restarts it goes away. Then will come back. When they are on you have to modulate the gas pedal to drive it.I scanned it with HP-Tuners and it comes up with the codes that all point to the rt front wheel bearing sensor again.Which is brand new.Any Ideas? Thanx

sounds like there may be a short in the electrical system that is either 1) frying the sensor or 2) fooling the computer that the sensor is bad. I am unfamiliar with HP Tuners software, but if you use a high end scanner (Snap-on or OTC) you can read the live data while driving the car for every sensor in the car. That will tell you exactly what the computer is reading. (actual datastream vs codes)
