Default need help with tail lights-electrical gremlin

both of my break lights on the passenger side aren't working. I replaced the bulbs and they still don't work.
driver's side lights both work fine.

on the passenger side, here is what works-both lights:
driving/night lights
turn signals

here is what doesn't work:
brake lights
four way flashers

I can see that both elements in the bulbs work so it is obviously wiring issue/gremlin. I do have a faulty fourway flasher switch that I have not replaced yet and I don't know if that is the cause.

Please help as I am pretty frustrated by this and it is unsafe to drive without brake lights (even if it is only on one side)

I would guess the 4 way flasher is the culprit. some of the brake lights work so the brake switch is functioning. the flasher is the only thing I can think of in common. I'd have to look at the wiring schematics to get a better idea.

do the 4 way flashers work at all or just not on your rear passenger's lights?
