What year did Corvette go from 4 speed to 5 speed automatic transmissions?

Never
97-04 C5's never had anything other than the 4L60E 4speed autos.
C6's had the 4L60E 4 speed in 2005. They then went to a 6spd 4L80E.
Never had a 5 speed.
