Default Line across the door.

I'm very close to buying a C5 Z06. I just have to decide between silver and blue.

Anyways, my question is; why are there some Z06's with the line across the door and some without? Did this come out in 2003 or something? I've noticed it and have never figured it out.

Anybody know?

Here's a link to one with it and one without it. I personally like the one without it.

Thanks

It's an optional body side molding that was available on all C5's. Some have them and some do not and some have been removed. My car came with them but I took them off, it's not hard. Don't let that affect your car buying decision, they can be removed.

Electron blue is the only way to go. Best color ever on the C5 Z06 and pretty rare. I will be posting some pictures of mine later on today with custom iforged wheels and lowered.

Taking off the body side molding is really easy and cleans up the car so much.

Definately go with the blue one though. You wont see another one around your area and with some nice polished wheels and lowered they look awesome.

EB#'s for 02-03 are 3086, vs 2556 QS for the same model years. Overall, 01-04 blues are 5111, silvers 4868.

BTW, body side moldings were installed on 16117 of the 28388 US Z06's, or 57% of all Z's had 'em.

I might be a little biased on the color
