I have a black Lingenfelter 2001 Z06 lowered and blacked out including the rims and I've had it roughly three years. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I would say roughly every three months or so I come back to my car after parking it in a public area (completely legaly not taking up exta spaces or anything) to find it covered in soda with or without the cup on the ground beside it. I have moved three times since I've had it and i dont have any enemies or anything that I know of. Especially none that follow me all over the country to the places I move. This happened about 8 or so times now and twice within the last week and the car was park in two seperate places on these occasions at more that 30mi apart. So what is it? Does anyone else have this problem? If so is yours moded or does it look stock? Or should i start looking for people I might have unknowingly pissed off?
I've had people dump nachos in the tilt-open sunroof on my wife's car, but the soda thing is all kinds of messed up. Bet you wish you could catch the perp in the act.
I bet it's just a bunch of kids who drive imports that just hate V8's Unfortunately, your car being tricked out and aggressive looking must just attract them...
I was at the beach the other day, and when I got back to my car someone stuck gum on the hood. Took me 20 minutes to get it off with gummout. Then I washed and waxed the car because I know the gummout takes the wax off. So because someone was jealous or hates Chevys or something, I spend a good hour dealing with it.
I don't get why people have to do **** like that. You're jealous? Go work your @ss off like me and get one too! You don't like Chevy? I don't like you, but I don't put gum in your hair just because I don't like you.
I do have Billy Boat PRT Exhaust so its loud. It happend in the DC and San Diego areas the most so i could be the ricer kids. I've had the thing since i was 21 so I just guess it jealous pr!cks that think its daddy's or something if they see me get out. Or that they dont like Chevy. Hey the company over all might suck but they got the Corvette right at leasts it "pays the bills" lol! Let me catch them that will be the day!
I don't know if you're still in the Marines or not, but I saw your Quantico location.
I'm in the Air Force and I walked out of a restaraunt one time when I was back in Colorado to 2 emo kids taking a **** in my brake vents and on my wheels.
I had a very small Air Force sticker on my back window, that's why they picked it.
I just don't leave my car anywhere I can't see it, it's unfortunate to have to live like that. But, the last time I caught someone messing with my car I broke his arm and I was the one who got in trouble! Go figure
First, thank you for your service! I don't think that modded, non-modded, exhaust, color, etc. has anything to do with actions by morons who possess a room temperature IQ. More than not, these idiots are simply jealous and need to express their frustration for not having "nice things" - in this case a Corvette. There will always be an element of idiocy by the lunatic fringe, and the only recourse we have is to catch them in the act - can you say, "your *** is grass, and I'm mowing!"
Thats pretty ****ed up. I always park in places where I can see the vette. If I can't, I choose places that are well lit and/or places where alot of people might linger, but not park anywhere in their path. In a garage, I always go to the very top level, because no one hardly park there, or close to valet spots.
Yeah. I keep my car neutral and void of political stickers, and I don't have a personalized plate for that exact reason. You'll never know who will be "offended" by something on your car. I'm a very political person, but I really don't like dealing with other people's issues on a personal level. (i.e. cleaning up gum on my hood from someone who doesn't like who I voted for.)
Generally speaking... I agree. This was the first year that I put something political on my car (btw... it was small and black on a tinted black rear window). I'm conservative and live in a liberal area. I think I'll just put a sign out in front of my house in 2012.
I've owned my '01 z06 for two years now and luckily nothing like that has ever happened to me. I even parked it in the high school parking lot my senior year and still nothing.
One time when I had my 80 Vette. I was driving it alot back then I had to take it to my Step Son`s school function and some kids must have put a cup with soda all over the hood.
I would hope it was a kid because if an adult would do that he has really no life.
