Default My first time at the track

Well tonight I went out to Budds Creek and did one pass. This was my very first time ever on the track and I must say it was fun (I never knew what I was missing out on). I didn't do any prep ie normal air pressure, burn out and I had 18/19 runflats on. I don't have my scanner here so I will list my times
R/T... .898
60'... 2.373
330... 6.122
1/8... 9.128
MPH... 82.51
1000... 11.666
1/4... 13.791
MPH... 105.20

From what I have seen I know my times suck especially my 60', but hey
it was my first time so I figure once I get the hang of it my times will get better.

nothing like going to the track for the first time... not bad all. Glad you had fun. Just think of the time you could pull off with a nice 60ft. Is your car a M6?

All that matters is that you had fun and you came home the same way you got there. That's a good day enjoy

Not bad for the first time out. Keep at it and you'll be down in the low 13s before you know it.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a 6 speed and I can't imagine it would be very efficient on a drag strip, can you start out in 2nd ? That might help some. What do you std. transmission guys do?

It was very fun but on this particular night they didn't use the traditional tree. They used a light that looked exactly like a street light.
The light was yellow for staging once you were set it goes red and then you wait for the green light and go. But it sure was fun, next I would like to be able to do a high speed run.

That would explain the .898 reaction times. When you get a real tree leave on the last yellow.

Glad you had fun. It is as addicting as modding though so now you need a second job.
