That Harbor Freight is something else, and it's hard as hell to beat their prices.

You can use it to re-program your tire pressure sensors, or program new sensors you may have installed. I installed new sensors last week, and used an old Delco car speaker magnet I had in the shed, worked fine.

I just did mine I had some rare earth magnets from work they worked great. I think you need any magnet with some pull to it.

Yeah, it works great. It has enough pull to hold itself on the valve stem, no matter which way the stem is pointed.

Takes the car about 2 seconds to find the new TPMS, then move on to next one.

Good news, they're down to $2.99 at harbor freight.

P.S. Any problems enlarging the hole? Strong magnets are often a ferrite or ceramic material, very hard and brittle. Did you just drill it out on a drill press?

I put the tax in my price!!

The hole is easy to enlarge because the magnet already has about a 5/8" hole, so all you are drilling is the casing.

About ready to make a trip over there,,will have to make myself a note to grab one,,, the old memory thing you know!!Mine is an early 00,made in about 9/99,,and the batteries HAVE to be getting close to their end. Saved a couple of threads on how to change them!! It's just a matter of time before I get to try this experiment,,but what do I have to lose!!I managed to pull off the HVAC display repair,,no guts no glory!! The worst case,,I have to get new ones,,which I'd have to do anyhow!! GOOD FIND!

Their prices are unbelievable sometimes. If you find stuff on sale they are amazing deals. I bought a low-profile aluminum jack that has been decent for like half the price Sears wants for their craftsman.
