A friend of mine have been car searching for a while for a car that wld out run my c5 and have enough room for his two kids. The guy at the lot talked him into getting a Charger SRT8 and told him that he wld have the room he needed plus wld out run c5's all day. Long story short, we went to the track to try them out. We left together which scared the **** out of me but I started taking over in 2nd and 3rd. I ended up betting him about 1 1/2 - 2 links are so, not sure how it would have been with out my fue mods. I have a small (I think 78mm fast intake) that my bro gave me, programmer and 342 gears that I changed in my auto. He doesnt even know if anything had been done to his car before he bought it, all I know is its real loud. But I do believe that I will have to add more mods real soon. My question is, should I change cams, if so what kind? Is that 78mm intake with my stock T/B hurting me? What else can I do but still keep my same block and heads?
It's really difficult deciphering your rambling discourse, so for clarification, state particulars about your car, such as year, and all modifications. Then we can advise from a starting point. Obviously, you already can beat your friend's new SRT-8, but that doesn't seem to be your only goal....
Put in a TC, a good set of headers (some can be had more reasonable than others) a vararam and a REAL tune, and don't worry about him anymore unless he gets N2O

My car is an 98 with vararam, programed, fast intake and 342's. I'm not tring to do to much would love to be able to run mid 12's on the motor. Last time at the track it ran 13.0
Ikester, you are right about the chick thing. I've had lots of "cool" cars, but the C5 really pulls them in. Millenium Yellow Coupe with ZO6 wheels does it everytime...

You might want to put this over in the tech section too. The Charger SRT8 has more HP, but it is also a much heavier car. No surprise that you could take him down the track.
