When you are not moving that is normal. The low speed fans do not come on until 226 and they go off at 219. High speed fans come on at 235 and go off at 226. Of course if you turn on the AC the fans will come on at 185. The fans go off no matter what temp when the car reaches 35mph. Flow through the radiator is impeded by the fans running when you are above 35mph.

What temp does the car stabilize at when you are running at highway speeds??

Turn on the hvac and see if the temps stay lower. If the hvac is off, as stated, those temps are pretty much the normal. Now if the hvac is on and you are still seeing those temps, its time to clean out the debris from the condensor...plastic bags, leaves, gaziilion tiny rocks and anything else.

If you can get underneath the front, lift or ramps, look between the radiator and condenser. I'll pretty much guarantee it is clogged up will all kinds of stuff. I'm not talking about the condenser from the front side, there is a very small opening between the two seen from underneath and you just would not believe how much crap collects there blocking the radiator.

I've tried using compressed air to blow it out and was about 45% effective, the plastic cover over the radiator needs to be removed, off comes the air intake, and try to blow out the material from the top side too. Be very careful of the fins. If you must and can find something to fit inbetween always go along with the fins.

I could only hit mine from below and got a literal ton of crap out, but I need to come at it from the top to see how successful that will be. I had surgery a couple days ago and haven't been able to finish what I started last week.

Trust me I am still baffled at how much crap can be drawn up through such a small opening.

The high temps are a little unusual but if they persist take a look UNDER your vette. After I cleaned out my radiator my temps dropped by 20 degrees.
