Hood scoop install tips ???

Position the hood scoop on your hood and after your pleased with the location (centered, alignment etc.), mark the location by scribing a line.
Tape off right on and outside the scribe line.
Sand the immediate bonding area along the tape with 80 grit.
Sand the bottom edge of the hood scoop.
Bond the hood scoop to the hood with 3M bonding epoxy or Lord Fusor bonding epoxy.
After the bond has cured, use a da sander (or other means) to grind a 2" wide strip along the joint, 1" on each side of the joint. You want to remove enough material so you can build it back up with 3-4 layers of cloth and epoxy.
Layer in epoxy and cloth using the 2 part tubes and cloth from either 3M or Lord Fusor. I have used Lord Fusor 100EZ with good success.
After the top is solid and cured, you can remove the hood and cut out the underside and repeat the grind and bond procedure. After the layers have partially cured, you may want to put the hood back on the car to be sure you don't warp the hood any.
Sand and fill the bonding areas to the proper shape, prime, seal and paint.
If you will be finishing the underside of the hood for paint too, it may be easier to sand, fill, sand the underside of the scoop before you mount it to the hood.
