Moving To Arizona Need Transporter
Moving to Arizona from Ohio. Need a transporter to take my 1999 FRC out there. I know, you all may say drive it out but work and other circumstances doesn't allow me to. Intercity seems to get high marks, anybody have any other recommendations? Any idea what this is going to cost me? Thanks in advance.

I used Sunday Auto Transport to bring my FRC from IL to CA. They are very good IMO. It was an enclosed trailer and they were very professional, cost me $1600.

Thanks, did a search and lots of choices.. just wanted some personal experiences. Had a horrible experience with AAA Advantage when I had them transport a vehicle from California to Ohio 7 years ago. Just checked reviews on them and things haven't changed same old complaints. I didn't do my homework then and I paid the price. Anyway, good bye Ohio winters!

When we moved from PA to AZ 9 years a go, we put it right on the moving truck. They built a plat from around it, and let me cover and protect. Only cost a couple extra hundred for the moving bill. Car arrived unscathed, and all went very smoohtly. Just a thought!

I need to open a Transport company I guess. LOL I had to have mine towed from GA to NJ two years ago and the guy was very professional with the load and unload. I just cant remember the name of the business. LOL

You might consider either Passport (which is now owned by Fed-Ex) or Reliable. Reliable is based out of Chandler, AZ which is one of the surrounding towns in Metro Phoenix, so there are lots of trucks coming here all the time. It might be a little less expensive, and you can pick your car up at their climate controlled warehouse.

Thanks for all the info. Will be moving to Casa Grande, about an hour south of Phoenix and an hour and half north of Tuscon. Looking forward to driving the C5 year round. Waiting for some quotes to come back.

I just used Sunday Transport to ship my vette from Los Angeles to Milwaukee. It was $1550 and shipped in an enclosed trailer covered in plastic with $300k worth of insurance. The communication was great. They picked it up on a Thursday and it was dropped off to me on Monday. Fedex's Passport quoted me $1726.

It sounds like others have given you some good choices to use. I would definitely avoid using Dependable Auto Shippers or DAS. They will come up if you do a google search and their website is somewhat legit looking, prices are cheap too, but myself and others have used them and they are total crap. Here's a link

It cost me $850 to move from CA to MN but if I were to do it again I would have no problem paying double that for a job done well that reflected competence on DAS's part. Good Luck

with those who referred to "Sunday." Full name of company is "Thomas C. Sunday," and they are great. They advertise in leading enthusiest magazines, trucks and crews are excellent, and you can contact the driver anytime to moniter their progress.

Here is what I learned when I had a bad experience transporting my car from LA to Boston. I was so fed up with them delivering the car 2 weeks late that I went to the Better Business Bureau website and lo and behold this company had many complaints against them already (I still filed my complaint). And I found the companies whose business I was happy with, did not have BBB complaints against them. Which ever company you pick, go on the BBB website for the company's home state and look at their customer satisfaction history.
