Default Header question

recently bought 01 z and ive read the cat back is good...just install headers if looking for power and some sound...i didnt really want to spend much on the headers and x-pipes...im considering the OBX or the Dynatech both are under a grand...tell me the good and the bad...or if its a mistake and need to wait and get something different
Thanks

You can catch group buys on here for headers. I think there is a group buy on OBX in the for sale section. Personally, I know it's hard buy I would wait and get quality headers. From what I have seen there is a definite difference. You also need to keep in mind your ultimate goal for your vette. Really depends on what you want to achieve.

You've got a nice car. Don't go cheap, you'll regret it later. If all you want is sound you can do that without headers. If you want HP go with LG or Kooks. Quality, looks, sound & performance.

I have an '01 and went with the LG pro series LTs. Along with Blackwing Intake and computer tune the headers were good for 40+ HP over stock and with the stock Ti exhaust the car sounds wicked at WOT but smooth at idle. To me it was well worth the money, and the support from the LG staff is always top notch!

One note would be to find someone with headers and Cat back to listen to it (in the car) before you decide. For me Headers and Borla Stingers for example is obnoxiously loud, but some like it. You've already got a Titanium exhaust system that makes good HP and sounds great with headers and still allows you to hear your radio on the highway.

I have the LG Pros with hi flow cats and 3" X pipe. Great fit and sound. The car makes 380/370 and from what I have seen here thats about average some higher some lower. I had Corsa Indys on for a while but with the headers man they were loud when you laid into it. Decided to do the Ti Mod on my stock exhaust and it is close to perfect now. Here some pics.
