I am considering purchasing a 97 silver with auto trans, 54,000 miles, very clean car. I have a older vette but have wanted a cheaper C-5 version and was curious in todays market if 15,000 is steep for this? please let me know your opinion as I am talking with the owner this week. thanks
I paid $19,000 for mine just over three years ago with the same mileage and I would do it again... after you change out the wagon wheels one pretty much looks like the other as long as it's in great shape. I have 85,000 on it now and it's still a showpiece !
I searched and researched for at least 9 months before buying my 2000 Coupe last Nov. (I was looking for 1997 - 2001 mostly) 15k sounds very fair. It's only been driven 4-5 K miles a year on average, unless its been sitting for a long time.
Don't be so obsest with the year model of a c-5. The condition of the car is much more important. I would rather have a well kept "97" than a "ragged out" "04"! I have owned 2 "97s" and both were great cars. I now have a "99" coupe [one owner] and paid a little more for it than some would but you get what you pay for!
