Default My Dyno Numbers

Here it is Folks!!!!

I'm now the proud owner of a 415 HP 01

354 RWHP (corrected)
347.8 RWTQ

Uncorrected numbers were almost identical as it was 76 deg. and dry in Jax today

I didn't do pre-mod runs but if it was pushing 385 as advertised, I got a 30 HP increase from a couple of very simple mods.
And I'm happy as a clam
My first pull was the best.....at a coolant temp of 215. My numbers may have been a bit higher if I had the 170 Tstat and TBB

Definately a great day. Did all my own mods, scans and tuning and didn't need to touch a thing after the runs. My AFR was 12.3:1 which was a hair rich but not worth changing. Not too shabby for a rookie

those are excellent numbers, but I question your statement "I'm now the proud owner of a 415 HP 01".
that presumes a .853 parasitic loss factor. 415 * .853 = 354.
the baseline for bone stock 01 Z06's is 335 - 340 sae corr rwhp, which is a factor of .877, ie 385 * .877 = 337.65. I'd say you've picked up 14 - 19 sae corr rwhp over stock, and using .87 (the widely accepted optimistic factor) are at 407 crank hp, and using the widely accepted conservative point eight eight would be at 402 :)

but the only thing that matters is sae corr rwhp, since all else is "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin" type stuff..

and nothing specific to you, just a generalization, I bet if we took an accurate poll, it would be found that texas/florida C5's make on average, plus 10 - 20 rwhp than all other 48 states worth of dyno data :)

nitpicking Dave

354 / .85 = 416.47 rwhp.

Good numbers.

Good numbers all around.

And you betcha, 15% driveline loss is a very reasonable back-of-the-envelope figure to use. No one should argue with that (although some will try).

I've got a Halltech T-1 on order. Figured that was as good a place to start as any. :)

QUOTE "but the only thing that matters is sae corr rwhp, "

True, but if you were to ask the 02 owners in the crowd, they'd all agree that all those extra letters would make for a goofy looking fender badge

There is nothing wrong with quoting SAE net horsepower. It has been the automotive industry standard for years and everyone knows that it's significantly higher than RWHP.
