Beach relocation and Vettes

that said, you nailed it just by asking your question. salt spray and the salt moisture in the air around the coast line is probably the worst enemy you will encounter without your car moving, lol! it is very corrosive and will cause serious damage to any non galvanized or stainless metal. even in a garage, the moisture in the air will attack metal items.
i agree that blowing sand is a nightmare also. if it blows good, it's kind of like sandpapering your finish. i have never taken my vettes to the beach whenever we go. i have a family car for that, lol!! while it's not your ordinary circumstances, during one of the hurricanes we had down here a few years ago, the wind and blowing sand actually sandblasted the paint off the side of my house (the east side of course, facing the storm thrust).

it garaged you won't see any effect. But know that the air is heavy with sea mist and it will mess with anything.
At least it's minimal metal. Having SMC body parts means no rust through.
