Default BFG KDW Tires

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to let you know I just changed my tires from the stock 275/245 set up with the Goodyear runflats to a 295/255
BFG KDW set up. I couldnt be happier! The cars is sooooo much quieter, no more tread hum no more loud thump when hitting small bumps, and the traction and handeling, its like a different car.
I dont like the idea of driving with out a spare and no runflats but I did buy a can or tire sealer hopefully I wont ever have to use it.
Oh yea and the tread pattern looks totaly bad ***!

I have had these for about 4 years now, probably have about 25k on them, they are a great tire.. not to burst your bubble, but mine are starting to get a little hum now because they are worn.

All in all though very happy with them

Enjoy them while you can, i have them too. Dissapointed to say the least but thats not the point. I talked to a Rep at Discount Tire and he told me they are discontinuing the KDW series, and most of their performance tires as a matter of fact. They are going twords the passenger tire route he said.

Not again I heard this a while back, but i then heard that the are still going to make them, just in the most popular sizes. Who knows, Im a contractor for Michelin and I wish I could ask someone about this, but they are very secert about stuff so I dont ask questions, just do my job

Last time I heard this rumor it turned out that they just stopped calling it the KDW2. It's just called the T/A KDW now. I have them in 19" on my car and I love them.

Good tire, had them on my SS. Not so good in the wet, hydroplaned and spun out. Ouch!

I have them and love them also.

I remember a thread from a couple years ago talking about the KDW IIs being discontinued. I will believe it when I see it. I just hope that someone will make a 19/35/295 since BFG seems to be the only one.

Hopefully he got the sensor safe goop stuff. I just monitor my sensors and have any leaks repaired. The chance of a complete blow out is pretty slim IMO.
