Default ZR1 Clutch Kit

Hey everyone my clutch is starting to slip in my modded ZO6. Someone recommened me installing the zr1 clutch kit. I was wondering if anyone has installed this kit in there car and how does it hold up with the extra power added in there car. I do take my car to the track for a couple of runs and i do beat on the car also.

The only crankshaft it will bolt to is the ZR1's.

I doubt you'll be swapping the crankshaft, so this is a dead issue.

The person might have been mistaken and meant the LS7 clutch. It can be made to work.

Katech released a dual disc ZR1 clutch kit for the C6, lots more work to put in to a C5 though. Check out Monster clutches, I drove a 480RWHP car with the level 3 clutch installed and it felt just like stock, was totally silent and held up to 5500RPM drag radial launches...the LS7 clutch that was previously installed in that car was glazed toast just with "normal" driving

From what i was told the only difference is the bolt pattern on the fly wheel. so all you have to do is get a custom flywheel.

I can't see how it could be more work to fit in a C5. Other C6 clutch setups go right in.

I would get an RPS Street twin. They are the best clutches out there. Feel free to give me a call and we can discuss what you do with the car and i can recommend you which RPS unit i would suggest. I have about 6 instock. I use them in EVERY car i put a clutch in.

Yeah, they're the best, if you don't know what a McLeod is.

I'm sure they are good clutches, but I LOVE my McLeod!

I have used both. I have had problems with McLeod and their customer service is terrible. I might as well call my mom and ask her what she thinks is wrong with the clutch. I have used COUNTLESS RPS's and never had ONE problem. That right there is worth it to me. Esp when i recommend it to my customer. They drive great and ALWAYS WORK!!!

I had an ls7 clutch in my mid 11 second GTO (RPM actually installed it for me )and it was a great street/strip clutch even in the heavy GTO. If you dont have a crazy setup i wouldnt spend the extra money on a twin disk...then again if your truly "alwaysnboost" than you might wanna go with the higher rated RPS unit

HAHA I hear what you are saying lol. Im Alwaysnboost just not in my vette I also have an 03 twin turbo 350z. My vette has the typical H/C package cartek stage 3. I just want a clutch with no chatter but also bites hard when I need it to.

Monster Lvl 3 w/ chromoly flywheel. These clutches look to be setting the standard for single disk clutches. Comes with a 12month/12,000mi. warranty.

Are you looking for a dual purpose "road course/street" clutch?
