Default Front tire size

Getting ready to order Michelin PS2's for my new IForged 18x9.5 fronts and 19x11 rears. Will a 285/30 fit ok on the fronts or should I stay with 265 or 275 / 35's? Is a 30 section to match the rears ok or is it too low?
I'll go with 305/30 on the rears.

5 series sidewall difference won't look bad at all. That is how the factory did it with the 40 series front and 35 series rear.

I think a 275/35 is a better pair then 285/30 which wouldn't be that tall.

275/35 - 25.6"
305/30 - 26.2"

That is a nice stagger. A 285/30 is only 24.7" tall so it wouldn't match the rear too well. A 265/35 is 25.3" which be an even closer match to the factory stagger.

OEM was

265/40 - 25.3"
295/35 - 26.1"

Stevo,
I think you're probably right. But I just assumed that keeping the same aspect ratio would result in a side view looking equal front to rear. I didn't consider the actual diameter of the tires in the equation which I should have. Thanks for the info and will stay with the 275x35 and 305x30's.

I have the exact wheel combo as you. I just got Nitto Invos from Discount, for about half the price of PS2s, and couldn't be happier. I got 265-35/18s for the front @ 25.3" tall, and 325-30/19s on the rear @ 26.3" tall. No fitment issues.

I've basically gone nuts looking at tire brands; Goodyear, Michelin, Yokohama, Hankook, Toyo, Nitto's, Firestone. The reason I've sorta decided on Michelin is that John @ Autobuffs quoted me a very low price on the Michelin's, I purchased the wheels thru him, and I know a couple of club members that like them. Not to say that there aren't other good choices, I liked the Yokohama Advan-Neova's but at some point just gotta decide and John's price on the Michelin's is hard to beat! Too many choices for my feeble mind! But I think I've nailed down the sizes; 275x35's and 305x30's.

I run the 265/35-18 PS2 on my car. It is a match for the stock 17" diameter tire and keeps the right proportion to the rears for computer accuracy. It looks great compared to the larger rears you will have.

Yeah, if you can get a good price on the PS2s, they're a great tire. I just replaced PSs. Costco has the (PS2)19" rears for over $600!!! Tire Rack is a little cheaper, but still alot of money, and you have to scrounge around for somebody that'll mount tires they don't sell, and not screw it up.
