I'm not a fan of the low profile rear spoilers. I'm not sure how much function they serve and they are so suttle it is sometimes hard to even know they are there. I remember about 10 years ago I was dieing for a vett. I went to test drive a 1987 Canadian edition white on red. When I saw the car it had a huge rear spoiler in the back. This thing stood so high it was above the top of the car.
I know your thinking that this must look horrific and trashy, but the design of the wing and the flow complimented the car. The two pieces appeared to one has you would slope over the hood up the windshield down the rear glass and up again the spoiler.
I never did buy the car but that spoiler has always stuck out in my head. If I were you, and I'm not, I would look for something similiar. If subtle is what you are going for then by all means go for some of the ones above. If you are looking for something to catch your eye though, I would keep searching for the ultimate spoiler. The one that has no name and can only be invisioned through the ones who have owned, but thats just me.
I never liked the Caravaggio. The lines didn't flow very well. Also, no highrise-spoiler to me has ever looked good on a Corvette unless the whole body was modified (sideskirts, bumpers etc). That way, it didn't stick out. If you took a look at the Corvette C5 Race car, and looked at the spoiler, you would probably think "Yeah, that belongs there". How about on stock C5's? Not really. If you really want a spoiler for looks, then I wouldn't suggest a highrise. Sooner or later, someone will link the infamous "Ironing board on a C5" picture, which will get a luagh or two.

Point well taken. A C5 has much different body lines than a C4. The boxiness of a C4 makes it much more suited for a highrise.
I think if you go for the spoiler though, you should also go for the louvered hood. I saw one of those in the parking lot a few months ago and I had to resist the urge to spend again.
When the time comes I'll be getting the Specter Werks Group 5 rear bumper with built in spoiler. To me the cost of that vs a Caravaggio is so small that you might as well get the spoiler molded right into the car. The Specter Werks bumper with integrated spoiler goes for $895. Figure with paint and installed it will run you $1100-$1200. The Caravaggio goes for $545. Now add in the shipping and handling ($150+ cause it is coming from Canada) and your at $695 (so as you can see only $200 off from a completely new bumper with spoiler built in!) PLUS Caravaggio has a long turn around time of usually over 6 weeks cause they are custom built one at a time.
This is the Specter Werks bumper Iam talking about and to me is HOW THE C5 should of come to begin with!:

This is the spoiler I want!! It flows with the contour of the rear fascia.
