I bought my kiddo a Grand Cherokee for her birthday in May, and she stopped driving the c5, totally. Hasn't been in it since then.
Tonight was the first pep rally at school for her senior year, and she called me wanting to drive the vette.
I was getting worried I hadn't raised her right.
Of course there's still the thing that she can BARELY drive a stick, and my older daughter cannot at all.
I've told them both that they ARE learning this fall.
I think you spoil your kids. When they can buy their own vettes, or any car, they will appreciate driving them more. That is how you should raise them. MHO.

Liz I honestly do not know how both of those girls grew up with you and did not learn how to drive a manual Oh well... at least they are both great kids otherwise

Nice. NOT!!!
Her job is getting good grades and being a good kid. She does both very well, in honors and AP classes, in fact.
And she keeps her grand cherokee nice inside and out.
My parents raised me the same way, and I seem to have turned out ok. Well, except for "spoiling" my kids the same way my parents did me.

Thanks, Pewter.
Adrian's actually done decent learning the stick, I just haven't MADE her do so. I'd rather her be totally comfortable driving when I'm not around. But...they both need to learn!!!

Hi, Liz!
Hey Patches!
I will admit to taking the path of least resistance teaching them to drive...and that was to let them drive only the automatics, when I should have made them learn the manuals.
Peter Pan....yall need to come back to Houston and see us again!

My bother just bought his daughter a new 328i for graduation since she got a perfect GPA, with honors. She didn't quite have her license yet as she was waiting to hit the magic 18 years old. I saw her last weekend and she still hasn't been able to drive it yet till later that day with a stop at the DMV. But, she said she wants to drive my '07! Smart girl
