I was looking at both and they have rims that look almost identical with cray being almost twice as expensive. Is it really worth it? Talking about cray manta and its ruff racing equivalent...
I don't know about quality, but imo, the Ruff Racing ones look MUCH nicer!!
this is what I was thinking too... The center emblem can be easily replaced with a matching vette emblem too. Cray is forged vs. Ruff being low pressure casting. Is forging worth doubling up the money? Honestly, I do not think so... Even factory switched from forging to casting quite a while ago...
Those other two are 19/20 staggered though with rears a bit wider for a wider stance. I think crays are compatible with pressure sensors while for the other ones, you have to get some adapters which is no big deal since you can have a set for 40 bucks. Staggered diameter and width look pretty good on a vette IMO...

Friend of mine has the Cray's. They are made for a direct fit to the Corvette. If you go with the Ruff, make sure the offests are correct or you may have to get spacers which isn't a big deal.
Either way, they're good looking wheels.
I own some RR 278 I bought new on a group buy on this forum last summer. I paid $900 shipped. All I can say is you get what you pay for THESE ARE CHEAP WHEELS. The plastic hubcentric adapters didn't fit, the offset is not made for a Corvette (I think they are made to fit BMW's). Forged wheels are stronger and better wheels, I wish I would have spent the extra $600 and bought Cray wheels. At one time one of the forum vendors in the Tampa area was selling some Crays for about $1500 shipped.

This is very interesting, nothing beats wondering aloud... Set of crays 19/20 can be had for less than 1500 shipped these days brand new, RR can be had for less than 1800 with tires shipped. I have not priced the tires lately but I have a feeling that they would most likely double up the pricetag. If there is a problem with fittment though, smart thing would be to wait longer.
Well I cant speak for Cray, i've never had them. Obviously you get what you pay for, but we got the Ruff 278's in chrome 18/19 and we have got ALOT of compliments on them, and I think they are pretty nice for what we paid. Lol, with that said though we are thinking of selling them though. Not because they are cheap or we dont like them etc, we are planning on stepping up to some True Forged wheels. Our Z06 is supposed to go to SEMA so obviously we want it to be as show ready as possible.
Here is a pic of our 278's.

uhm, so do they fit or not? I am just an average Joe, I do not really care about the bragging rights but would be concerned if these things use cheap plastic hubcentric adaptors that do not fit or fall apart, LOL... I had a bad experience with those plastic adaptors from the past and would rather avoid them. Also, do you have the sensors hooked up? Yours are a different style I was looking at but look great nevertheless....
Dont even remember if we have the hubcentric rings on them. I do know of all of the Ruff wheels the 278's had the least amount of problems with fitment etc. Our's fit great, have been on for probably 6-7 months if not more and we have zero issues with them. No sensors on Z06's
LOL, sorry, I should pay attention this was a Z... Now there are two opposite testimonies. If yours is the norm, then the 19/20 tire and wheel combo is a helluva deal...
As far as I know all RR wheels when ordered for a C5 Corvette come with the plastic hubcentric adapters. The wheels will bolt up but they are not the correct offset for a C5, so some have had to use 1/4 spacers. I didn't have to use any spacers but my front wheels stick out about 1/4". Others have had them stick out as much as 5/8".
Discount Tire carrys them " Cray Manta's ", I got quoted $1250.00 mounted and balanced 19 front and 20 rear. You get what you pay for is TRUE. I would go to discount and buy the crays.
