Do you notice the intensity of your display going up and down during sunlight and shadow driving? I know it has the photo cell for these conditions, but I swear it seems like the display brightness kinda lags for the conditions. At night or in the garage, the display keeps the same brightness.
Do these projector bulbs tend to go bad or get dim? I have heard the photo cell will go bad.
The only time that mine is hard to see is when it gets direct sunlight in the unit and all of it seems to light up too bright but otherwise it works fine.

Mine seems just the opposite, gets dim then brightens up. I guess I need to go drive it some more and take notes, its only been installed for 2 days.
Make sure you are not wearing polarized sun glasses.I recently posted about my thinking the display went bad or was damaged after a windshield install. My problem was my sun glasses.
mine changes from bright to dim all the time depending on if its in the sun or in the shade, it also switched the MPH light from light to dim. I wonder if it is a problem or just the way my car works.
It is suppose to go to full brightness when you turn towards the sun or reduced visibility like in rain and dim in dark areas. See owners manual.
The brightness of the HUD image is determined by
the light conditions in the direction your vehicle is
facing and where you have the HUD dimmer control
set. If you are facing a dark object or a heavily
shaded area, your HUD may anticipate that you are
entering a dark area and may begin to dim.
It is possible for sunlight to enter the HUD causing
all of the graphics to light up. The display will return
to normal when the sunlight is no longer entering
the HUD.
