Default Mounting kit for Depo Headlights?

I just ordered a set off fleabay and it didn't come with the mounting brackets or anything needed to install these headlights. Kinda bummed because now I can't do anything with them. I was wondering if any vendors sold these mounting brackets separately or am I just screwed? I tried to contact the seller and have yet to hear a reply.

This doesn't seem right... I see numerous places mounting brackets and kits that are supposed to come with these Depo lights and it looks like I just got screwed. I emailed the ebay member that I didn't receive any instructions or mounting brackets and this was there response.

"we have received your email and i verified with our vendor, the description in our auction is general, there is no mounting bracket needed for corvettes, all holes and mounting points are preassembled ready.

Just like other aftermarket headlights and tail lights, the manufacturer of these lights does not provide installation for the lights because they were meant to be sold to car shop for professional installation. I am very sorry we do not have instructions for the lights. We really recommend professional installing to avoid damages to both the lights and your car during installation.
If you really need to install yourself, please let me know on which step you encountered the problem and I will try to email my previous customers who got these lights from me and see if they can help out."

So these headlights do not use any mounting brackets or anything? I don't understand how they are held in place without just popping out of the headlight housing after the original headlights are removed? Am I lost? haha

Wow wtf... real good the guy I bought them off of keeps claiming they are ready to be mounted as they are.. I'm going to email him the image of the instructions and find a scrap box to return these. That pisses me off! Is there anyway I can purchase just the mounting brackets off possibly a forum vendor??

Those aren't the images I posted... The only thing that came from this ebay member is a Depo box that has the headlights and thats all. Every other auction, even his own says that it comes with the mounting brackets. And whats scary is this guy sells quite a few of these depo headlights for our C5's. Maybe i'm just one of the few people who is buying these headlights right now? I don't know but i'm trying to find out how I can buy the mounting kit.

If there are any forum vendors on here that can sell me the mounting brackets I would appreciate it! Right now the only thing I can do is ship these headlights back to the seller and hope for my money back and then buy another set from a different member and hope I don't get screwed again.

Tell him they are supposed to come with the mounting brackets. The kits come from Taiwan. Depo is a very large manufacturer. They make OEM parts for many cars. All the kits ship with the mounting brackets insde a brown box, the brackets are pretty heavy too. If he doesn't comply open a dispute with pay pal. keep your e-mails civil you may have to supply them to pay pal. They will get you money back for you. You can wait for this to be over and then post buyer feed back, sellers hate it when they get negative feed back.
PS once you get the brackets do a search on here and find the posts showing how to modify them for proper installation. Good luck
One personal word of advice, if you don't want to take the chance of the lenses cracking from the heat of the regular low beam bulbs then install HD in the low beams before you start night driving. Much better lighting, and alot cooler runing temps for the HIDs.

Thanks for the info! This just sucks, i've been waiting forever to install these and now it looks like it's going to be even longer all because of these mounting brackets. Hopefully this ebayer which seems to do a lot of business with these will take them back and offer a refund.

I emailed the seller (Ipexmotoring) who sells quite a few of these, and supplied information about these headlights requiring a mounting kit. I even read over the auction that I won and it said that they "supply all mounting brackets and accessories" which wasn't the case at all. They finally emailed me back and it's been a week trying to get everything settles. I now have an address to ship these back to so I can get my refund and I ordered another set from a different ebay member who has the mounting brackets pictured with the headlights. It's been a fun experience! lol
