Default Question about OBX headers and highflow cats

Not sure if this has been discussed before; however has anyone successfully installed/attempted to install highflow cats (ie. random tech) on this system? They look great and I've heard great things about them but I would like to run a header system with highflow cats. Thanks.

Installed OBX headers & hi-flo cats on my 99 Vette Vert 4 months ago & love em.OBX sends in their package resonators instead of cats thus I bought hi- flo cats & had a weld shop convert flared end to work [$20].Very pleased with package.Hope this helps.

Well if you can hold tight for a couple months you will have the option of with cats or the current resonators.

I got to talk to the guy at OBX i originally set up with. He was out on leave for a few months but now that he is back it been great working with him.

I was asking alot of questions about future product the other day and real soon a catted verion of this sytem will be an option. They will be a free flow cat as well as I stressed the performance issue.

Now they great news

I asked him if he minded some feedback from all of us forum members. I talked to him about the rear o2 sensors and having to drill the tunnel plate. He was very concerend about this and is now sending me a couple of the straight pipe sections for me to mark exactly where the rear o2 bungs need to be. This is a simple fix he said and as soon as i get them marked and back to him he will have the changes made for future sets down the road.

The next question I asked is if we can get a set made for the 97 to 00 cars and move the flange for the air tube back one tube so you do not have to mess with the air system and it will bolt right up He said we can probably do this as well and offer two sets so no issues.

I have to say, he was real concerned about the fitment issues and wants to makes these as perfect as he can get them to be. He stressed that everyone works hard to make the money needed to buy these and does not want to have a product that will need some slight adjustments.

There are some nice things in the works including the 449.99 catback system i am hoping to have pics of tomorrow and some C6 Z longtube headers as well.

We once again we ran them out of inventory on the longtube headers. The next shipment is due in at the beginning of October. So i am out of them till then. The reason you see them still on EBAY is because they all bought 5 to 10 sets that they were allocated. I was allocated 20 and sold them all to everyone here on the forum.

I am sure a couple people ahve installed cat on these headers now. I know one person did from the first group buy but i dont recall who exactly.

Let me know any more questions.

Dennis

If they offer the cats only as a separate purchase, I'm interested in buying some to replace my resonators.

The only reason I haven't purchased a set for my 98 is the fitment issue, when that is solved I'll be buying.................

I will check on that option. I know right now they are working on this as an option. So i would hope there would be a chance for those who have already purchased to buy just the cats

Guys, just got done with a 13 hour drive from Orlando. Took the wife and kids down to FL for a week.

A big thanks to eveyone on the feed back. Especially to Dennis (c5 BearsFan). I'll hang tight for a couple more months. Take care.
