I'm reminded of another thread in here where some members (me included) like to think of our Vettes as bargain exotic sports cars (okay so we are delusional ). Now imagine that bling on a Ferrari, Porsche or Lambo butt. OMFG. That's why, I think, many of us find the chrome add-ons appalling....
Why do i not see more corvettes done with the steel louvers and chrome plates? why is yours not done?

Hey man, "YOU" basically asked EVERYONE that clicked on your thread to comment on "Why are ours not done like yours". Everyone has an opinion and you asked to hear them so try to understand that what's cool to you may not be cool to others. Since you asked for my opinion (as referenced above)...I don't care for any of the chrome you've added but it's just my opinion and taste. It's unfortunate that people got "personal" with you regarding your choices but this an open public forum, it comes with the territory. Go to your local city commision meeting sometime and you'll hear a healthy dose of voiced opinions that differ from yours. Since this is the internet, you can't physically smack the guy on the other computer so the responses get a little more violent, however.... (anonymity provides security + courage which equals honesty). You are definitley getting HONEST opinions.
I think it's great that you stuck up for yourself One word of warning though......DO NOT post in OFF TOPIC, those guys are brutal.
The chrome look is fine for some but my son and I went with the black and as far as I am concerned my son's and my opinion is the only one that counts. We went with a black and red mod look engine, interior etc. and feel it turned out just the way WE wanted.
Before I purchased my vette I thought I would add some chrome to the back (letters, plate, etc). The more I looked at the rear the more I liked it how it was. Chrome tips add just the right touch. The only other thing I want to do is paint the bottom black to contrast the silver.
All that garbage on the back is hideous. It's ricer crap for people that happen to own Corvettes.
Also, to the OP, an apostrophe followed by and S is used to indicate the possessive or contracted sense of a noun, not the plural sense. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostrophe

Thanks for the english lesson . Also, I think the OP probably got a clue by page 1 that his bling is not a huge hit on this site.
...every time i take the car out i recieve compliments every where i go thousands of them over the two years i have the bling on throw in another thousand thumbs up from passing cars and every kid the the back seats...
I used to drive a beat to crap 87 with about half a million miles on it, a bad paint job, and duct tape holding the seat bottoms together. People used to give me thumbs up and compliments everywhere I went. 99.9% of the world sees the word CORVETTE and stops there. I can guarantee that your "bling" has NOTHING to do with it.
I said it before and I'll say it again. If you like it, that's all that counts. However, basing it on kids in a minivan might not be the best scale.
