I just ordered the sunvisor retrofit with the Home link for my C5. Has anyone ordered and installed one of these?

Very true......that did present a small issue. But as I did, check around BEFORE you do the mod.

But in the end I did the Mod myself for about $35-$40, and took it to a local shop who sewed it for FREE!!!!

Maybe not the norm, but there are still awesome business owners out there, I really don't think it would have cost more than $5-$10 for the sew job.

I found a donor visor at the salvage yard and installed the electronics into my own visor. Sewing it up was the easy part.

I ordered one about 7 months ago from eBay vendor. Included directions made install very easy. Works great, just as advertised. I ended up buying a passenger side visor (no homelink) from same vendor about a month later. No regrets. PM me if you want details.

Cost me $25..........better than the first shop that wanted $80 or the second that wanted $50
