So I was looking at how much it would cost me to get a new wheel/tire package from TireRack, already mounted and everything. They'll mount the TPMS sensors and everything so thats nice, but the website puts 3 different products into your cart regarding TPMS:
I get what the first thing is, its the actual sensor, but what are the other two items that TireRack requires you purchase? Do I actually need everything listed? Also, once the wheels get shipped to me, what will I have to do to get the sensors working with my car, or will they automatically work?
(forgive my ignorance, niether me or anyone I've known has ever had a vehicle with TPMS)

Have no idea what the other two items are (perhaps the last one is the nut that holds the sensor to the wheel). Why not call Tire Rack and question them on this.
I think the lower one (KIT20007) is the mounting bolts - The expensive one (C5PRO) is the price for them to train the new sensors - You can train the new sensors in about 2 minutes
If your current sensors work, I wouldn't buy the new ones. Just be sure to put them back in the same position as they were and you will be fine. No training needed.
The sensors price looks like an aftermarket or rebuild, new GMs go for over 100 a peice on a 99. KIT20007 is probably the nut and O ring, if the nut is inculed that's not a bad deal, GM price something like 3.65 if its just the O ring you can get them at home Depot for about .15 cents ea.. If you have to reprogram it, simple to do, just find the DIY thread.
