I hit a deer at about 65.

I came over a hill and there was one standing in the road. I missed him, but another one jumped out right behind him.

I hit him centered on the car. It was early morning and I had the headlights on. He shattered both of them and most of the pieces were gone, but I'm glad I had the lights on because they launched him up in the air and he went over the roof instead of through the window.

After some horror stories with local repair shops and about $5000 later I have the car back and it is finally pretty good again.

Be careful out there

Make sure you post pics of the repaired section!

I would think it is safe to say the Racoon didn't make it back to the road

He is probably Cayote Food

Thanks,Matt

I would have liked to get a TS front end... but the TS + Spoiler was 1200, the OEM bumper was 353. Too much out of pocket for the upgrade right now. =/

Yeap, never thought a racoon could cause that much damage. Glad you will be back in the seat and atleast did not lose control of your car

It would've be so cool if you could have found him and made a hat out of him. At least hung his tail from the rear view.

OP, at least you didn't swerve away like some idiots on the road would have done. Could have ended up with a lot more damage
Driver training for professional vehicle handlers hit what ever it is and write a report later.Sounds cold but keep your vehicle under control in the incident. So I won't get slammed here I did hold up traffic in both directions today to let a turtle cross the road.Good luck with your repairs.Seems like alot of us are accumulating damage lately.

one time I had a small pheasant inside the cooling duct on my driver side brake duct; I had to pull the thing out of there, and it was pretty dead. I should have taken a pic, but I forgot.

God I love this place... Damn, that makes me hungry just thinking about it...
About a month ago, I slammed into a coyote during a rainstorm...was only doing about 40 when the booger ran right out in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and caught the coyote by its hip and sent him off in the ditch...did less damgae than you remarkably...

I'm glad to hear that you're ok and didn't careen off the road into a tree or something...

Better than the deer I hit last year. Needed a headlight, bumper, inner fender, outer fender, Hood, and side marker. 7000$. I'm scared to drive at night now. Lol
