Well it's me again. It seems the previous owner of my car never experienced any of the regular known gremlins because I've just about had them all and I've only had the car 8 months. Current problems.
1- The cars starter rolls the engine but it is very difficult to get it to fire. It will give false hope that it is going to fire then dies. Once started it runs fine. It problem came about with no notice and is getting progressively worse.
2- The last time I got it to start, leaving work to go home, had the wife on call in case I had to call AAA, I got up on the interstate everything running fine, hit 80mph and the car shut down in the fast lane with a train of cars behind me, finally got over to the slow lane , it came back to life and made it to the exit for the house. Off the off ramp I went and with no foot on the gas I'm cruising at 41mph, slip it into neutral and the rpms are at 1300. When I get home pulling into the gatage the prms drop to normal and then start to vary somewhat.
Man i've wanted a corvette for most of my 64 years and the repairs are just killing me, and we're not even talking about the heat I'm getting from the wife. I can't remember how to get the DIC trouble codes, and also all during these problems I'm not getting any messages. Please shed some light and encouragement. In todays economic times I can't be laying out repair money each couple of months.
