Default Trouble installing CLB

I got my CLB in the mail a couple of days ago. I went to try and install it and ran into a problem. The first thing in the instructions is to remove the fog light/rear hatch panel by pulling gently. I can not get that out and I do not want to break it. Does just the switch surround come out or the entire small panel onthat side? If just the switch, how can you get it out? There is not way to grab it to pull it. I removed the 2 screws at the bottom of the knee pad and pulled it down to see the harness that gets replaced, but I do not want to break it by working on it like that. Can someone please help me out and tell me what the trick is to get out the small panel or switch plate? Thanks

Default CLB install trouble

Go to C5 Tech and try the search feature on CLB install or check one of the 'stickys'. I can't remember exactly where I saw the write-ups, but there is at least one very good 'how-to' with pictures. I have not done my CLB install yet so can't address your problem directly, but make sure you have all the torx screws removed. I think then you have to pull against a clip or clip at the side but the how-to postings will tell you everything you need to know. I have the 2003 GM service manuals if you want me to refer to them, but it should not be necessary with the write-ups/pictures available. Good luck, Ralph Boineau in central South Carolina.
