Front Bumper Q's
How hard is it to remove the front bumper and install an aftermarket one? My skills aren't the best only about a 6 or 7 with the right tools. Is this something better left to the pros?
Also what does it generally run for a front bumper paint job?

Don't know what the paint will run you but the front bumper is easy to remove. I found out shortly after buying my C5 that I had a badly damaged skid cage................SO http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...9-hpim1192.jpg I tackled the job. I was a bit aprehensive being hadicaped but raised the front and proceeded from underneath. You'll be suprised how simple it really is, do a "search" of front bumper removal.

Last time I had a quote on painting the front fascia (about 1.5 years ago), it ran approximately $250. That's if I did the removal/install myself. It's not hard to take the bumper off - this info was posted by forum member Patches:
I took my bumper off to install PIAA's about a month ago and it wasn't difficult, just lots of screws and a few nuts. Take your time and work your way around. Start underneath and pull off the air dams and access covers and the four nuts inside on studs that hold it to the top/side of the bumper cover to the fenders (you have to reach your arm inside for these - use a light to see them).
I did this alone but a helper makes it easier to remove and, especially, in putting it on.
